Gentlemen, you’re excused from being confused
Just how exactly are you supposed to treat a female?
Feminism arrived and they wanted to be ‘equal’
They wanted your work and they wanted your pay
They wanted you to listen to all they had to say
Once you thought that you were supposed to protect them
Now their ladette behaviour you wouldn’t condemn
They’ve taken over the pub that was once your territory
And they’re downing their pints and behaving obscurely
They wear little to show off the new boob job they had done
Then call you a perv for looking at their giant bosom
These women you thought you had to treat so preciously
Now behave in a way they don’t need it surly
You once felt it rude to swear in front of a female
Now the language they use you even find foul
You used to protect them by walking on the roadside of the pavement
Now they don’t understand the gesture you so kindly lent
Once gentlemanliness had to be proved on many dates
Now so many happily offer you themselves on a plate
You can’t understand what they actually want
Even though their behaviour is so upfront
Gentlemen, you’re excused from being confused
